With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Judy Arlene Koenen of Mankato, Minnesota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Judy Arlene left this world on January 2, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Krull and Magdalene Krull (Harms); her husband Wayne Koenen; her sister Beverly; and her brother-in-law Walter Lupkes.
She is survived by: her sons, Brent (Ellen) of Eagle River, AK, Curt (Pam) of Mankato, MN and Bruce (Wendy) of South Haven, MN; and her siblings, Mavis Kampman (Darwin) of Aplington, IA and Eldon Krull (Frances) of Kesley, IA. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (220 E Hickory St, Mankato, MN 56001). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at the Tivoli Cemetery (59663 203rd St, Mankato, MN 56001).
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be directed to Judy's favorite charitable organizations, such as ECHO Food Shelf, Connections Shelter, or VINE Faith in Action.
