He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Rev. John A. Moldstad; his son James; his brothers, Rev. Robert Moldstad and Paul Moldstad; his wife Gudrun E. Madson; his son Rev. John Moldstad, Jr.; his former wife June E. Bestervelt (Howard); his children, Donald Moldstad (Gina), Lois Fick (Paul), Jo Petersen (Thomas) and Terri Bestervelt; and his daughter-in-law Joslyn Moldstad. He was also cherished by eighteen grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren.
