He was predeceased by: his wife Mary; his brothers, Bert and Ian; and his parents, Alva Tougas and Enza Tougas.
He is survived by: his son Joe of North Mankato, Minn.; his grandchildren, Samantha Tougas, Wendy Tougas (Dan Vierck) and Dylan Tougas of Bellingham, Wash.; his siblings, David, Bernie, Patrick and Ellen Hanson; his daughters-in-law, Mary Effertz of Stoughton, Wisc and Shelley Tougas of Hudson Wis; his brother Bob; his sister-in-law Jean Doyle of Chicago; and his great grandchild Joey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
