He was predeceased by: his great-grandparent Jerry Betsinger. He is survived by: his parents, Lowra Mentele and Luke Mentele of Mankato; his brother Edward Mentele; his half-brother Raymond Tretter; his grandparents, John, Linda Othoudt, Denny, Wanda Mentele, Glenn and Julie Leraas; his great-grandparents, Pam Betsinger, Darlene Walz and Theresa Degan; and his aunts and uncles, Jason Othoudt (Calena), Jenni Elwer, Wes Mentele (Carrie), Jon Mentele (Dawn) and Joe Mentele.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) or to any Breast Cancer organization of your choice (Whenever Jerry wore pink, he did so in honor of every single one of his grandmothers).
