She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Case and Bernice Case (Palmby); her brother Paul Case; and her siblings-in-law, Carolyn Case, Joyce Case, James Thompson and David Ray Thompson.
She is survived by: her husband Ken Thompson of Mankato; her children, Mark Thompson (Nancy) of Bloomington, Laurie Thompson (Jon Loe) of Denver, CO, Peter Thompson (Michele) of Crawfordsville, IN, Shelley Leenhouts (Martin) of Garden City and Jonathan Thompson (Karen) of Chisholm; her siblings, Lee Case and Florence Gustafson (Albert); and her sister-in-law Susan Farnsworth (Ralph). She is also survived by ten grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to the Garden City Cemetery Association or Society for the Blind.
