He was predeceased by: his parents, John Herman and Erna Charlotte Groenke (Hildebrandt); his wife Revertta Reinke; and his grandson Paul Hanly. He is survived by: his children, Douglas Groenke (Shelly) of Mankato, Diane Hanly (Michael) of Mankato and Donna Birr (Gene) of Mankato; his grandchildren, Erin Jacobson (Joel), Brent, Cody Groenke, Kevin Hanly (Megan), Tiffaney Wagner (Joe), Jenna and Justin Birr; his great grandchildren, Haley, Jonah Jacobson, Tilyr, David Hanly, Jaiden Lutter Danielson and Jack Wagner; and his sister Kay Sime of Monticello. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
