He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Garbers and Selma Garbers (Teigen); his siblings, Janice Zufall (Harry) and Daryl Garbers; his sister-in-law Judy Garbers; and his nephews, Danny and Darin Zufall.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Rosen; his daughters, Laura Kennedy (Craig) of Owatonna and Bethany Franson (Jon) of Coffeyville, KS; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jayden, Landen Kennedy, Kallisto, Leonitus, Chloe, Gideon, Solomon, Thalia, Michaiah and Avriel Franson; his brother Jack Garbers (Phyllis Northwick) of Fairmont; and his siblings-in-law, Karen Westad (Robert) of Litchfield, Garry Rosen (Joyce) of Fairmont and Charles Rosen (Sharon) of Welcome, MN. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Because their faith is so important to Duane and Brenda and they want others to know the true joy of a life with Christ, memorials are preferred to Mt. Olive Lutheran School Tuition Assistance Fund, Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, the Evangelical Lutheran Synod/Peace Devotions series or KJLY Christian Radio.
