He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Ziegler and Martha Ziegler (Seidel); and his siblings, Sheldon Ziegler, Francis Ziegler and Kathleen Ziegler.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Dode" Ziegler; his daughter Denise Peterson (Dennis); his grandchildren, Devin Moline (Matt), Drew Peterson (Lindsay) and Darian Nagel (Jeff); his son Dale Ziegler (Cheryl); his grandchildren, Mikayla Ractcliffe (Brywn), Jacob Ziegler (Michaela) and Alison Dobson (Tyler); his son Darrell Ziegler (Brenda); his grandsons, Dustin Ziegler (Jenna) and Brady Ziegler; his son Douglas Ziegler (Tami); his grandchildren, Andrew Retzlaff (Beth) and Sydney Ziegler (Logan Stenberg); his son David Ziegler; and his grandchildren, Jasmine Ziegler and Dillon Ziegler. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church (423 W 7th St, Mankato, MN 56001).
