He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Owen and Caroline Owen; his brother Phil Owen; and his brother-in-law Stan Davis. He is survived by: his wife Jeannine Ann Warren; his children, Sara Wescott (Nick), Carrie Weimert (Luke) and Taylor Owen (Logan Juliar); his grandchildren, Tilia, Mila Wescott, Teagan and Greyson Weimert; and his siblings, Mary Dalton (Bob), David Owen (Diane), Jeanette Davis and Liz Lange (Rich). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
