He is survived by: his sons, Mike Mead (Kathy) of Good Thunder and Jim Mead (Jackie) of Mankato; his grandchildren, Tom Mead (KayCee) of Burnsville, Kristin Klun (Matt) of Bloomington and David Mead of Good Thunder; his great grandchildren, Nathan and Jessica Klun; his siblings, Janet Williams (Gary) of Arizona and Ken Mead (Cindy) of Mankato; and his siblings-in-law, Loren "Buck" Mason (Mary) of Mankato, Rick Hammer of Mankato and Judy Dayland (Gordy) of Peterson, MN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
