He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Allan and Ethel Allan (Baker); and his wife Nancy Jensen. He is survived by: his daughter Elizabeth Reid Rasmussen (Timothy) of Blue Earth, Minnesota; his grandsons, Gregory and Reid Rasmussen of North Mankato, Minnesota; his son Douglas Thomas Allan (Witney) of Rosemount, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Ivy Mae Allan and Sam Frederick Allan; his brother Craig R. Allan of Joppa, Maryland; and his nephews, Laird and Reid Allan.
