She was predeceased by: her parents, John Sorgatz and Vera Johnson Sorgatz (Addleman); her husband Orville Smith; her brother Burton Sorgatz; her nephew Paul Sorgatz; and her sisters-in-law, Evelyn Haslip and Marlene Sorgatz.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Curtis (Guy) of Mankato, Debra Kessler (Dennis) of Urbandale, IA, Vicki Schaible (Kent) of Mankato, Cathy Pierce (Jeff) of Mankato, Steven Smith (Tracee) of Mankato and Leisa Harris (Gregg) of Clara City, MN; her brother David Sorgatz; and her sister-in-law Nancy Sorgatz of Lake Crystal, MN.. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
