He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Coopman and Viola Coopman (Johnson); his wife Arlene Ganzel; his brothers, Ernie and Robert Coopman; and his grandchildren, Courtney Coopman, Oliver Coopman and Natalie Coopman.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Comnick (Wes) of Good Thunder, Douglas Coopman (Ramona) of Mankato, Karen Seppmann (Ben) of Prior Lake, Darrel Coopman (Carla) of Monticello and Dennis Coopman (Laura) of Lake Crystal; his siblings, Gerald Coopman (Dorothy) and Sylvia Heitner (Dean); and his sisters-in-law, Sharon Coopman and Margaret Ganzel. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
