It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ardean D. Purdie-Douma of Mankato, Minnesota, who passed away on March 19, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Beyer and Esther Beyer (Brandt); her husbands, Brownie Purdie and Don Douma; her children, Vicki Herbst and Gary Purdie; her grandson Joey Herbst; her brothers, Eugene Beyer (Lois) and Marlin Beyer; and her brother-in-law Donnie Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Sand (Buddy) of Rochester, NY, Nancy Purdie (John Johnson) of Rochester, MN, Terri Purdie of New Richland, MN and David Purdie (Lana) of New Richland, MN; her children-in-law, Kathy Purdie-Maas and Roger Herbst; her sister Arbutus Miller; and her sister-in-law Kay Beyer. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great- granddaughters.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Nasinec Funeral Home (789 Business Park Drive, Wells, MN 56097). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
