He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Eldridge Ackland and Dorthy Ann Ackland (Thompson); his daughter Grace; his wife Felice Kelly; his brother Lealand; his friends, Bill Montag and Dr. Shel Slodki; and his pet Nala.
He is survived by: his former wife Nancy Duffey; his daughters, Laura Butler (Scott) of Plymouth and Heather Bass (Brad) of Madison Lake; his stepchildren, Felicia Kelly of Anoka, MN and Michael Kelly (Lori) of Fargo, ND; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Bass (Dillon), Charles Bass, Meredith Butler and Natalie Butler; his stepgrandchildren, Michael Kelly, Rebecca Kelly (Dylan) and Meilani Felix; and his siblings, Marcy Thurber (Gary), Brian Ackland (Patti) and Donna Neumann (Jerry). He is also survived by loving nephews; many dear friends, and neighbors.
