He was predeceased by: his mother Joan; his sister Elizabeth Parr; his grandparents, Raymond, Ann Harrod, Edmund and Mary Frances Schmidt; and his aunt Nancy Renslow.

He is survived by: his wife Beth; his children, Zachary, Samantha and Trevor; his father William Harrod; his niece Ella Parr; his brother-in-law Daniel Yancura; and also Richard.

In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the University of Minnesota Masonic Cancer Center.
