He was predeceased by: his brother James Linder; his uncle Ken Meidlinger; his aunts, Janet Molin and Sue Molin; and his cousin Brent Meidlinger.

He is survived by: his children, Taydan, Aubrey and Bricelyn Linder; the mother of his children Laura Peterson; his parents, Pete Linder and Mary Lou Linder; his brother Daniel Linder (Ana Minambres Mateos); his aunts and uncles, Dave, Lynn Linder, Lill Linder, Ross Henderson, Betty Meidlinger, Jack Molin, Randy Molin and Herb Linder; and his nieces, Corrine Manning, Helena Linder Minambres and Julia Linder Minambres.

He worked at Hazelden Foundation for a period until fairly recently.
