Virgelia Neisen Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Virgelia Neisen of Mahnomen, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 11, 2025 at the age of 100. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Machulda and Agnes Machulda (Sedivy); her husband Elmer Neisen; her sons, William and Charles; her granddaughter Angela Neisen; and her siblings, Edwin Machulda, Leonard Machulda, Angela Schouviller, Gladys Liebl, Margaret McCarthy, Helen Neubert, Rosella Aldrich and Deloris LaDuke.
She is survived by: her children, Marilyn Blosberg (Kenneth) of Cambridge, MN, Christine Neu (Timothy) of Great Falls, MT, Fargo, Allan Neisen (Dorothy) of Mahnomen, MN and Philip Neisen (Jean) of Randall, MN; her daughter-in-law Barbara Neisen; and her sister Dorothy Becker. She is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM. A prayer was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Anderson Family Funeral Home (719 N Main St, Mahnomen, MN 56557). A rosary was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (120 W Jefferson Ave, Mahnomen, MN 56557).
