With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Tom Oppegard of Mahnomen, Minnesota, born in Fosston, Minnesota, who passed away on September 29, 2020 at the age of 59. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Oppegard and Gertrude Oppegard (Antell); and his siblings, Mike, Oscar "Sunfish", Simon, Ann Townsend and Mary Oppegard.
He is survived by: his siblings, Alan Oppegard of Mahnomen, MN, Nona Townsend of Mahnomen, Susan Zornes of Bemidji, MN, Gwen Sargent of Naytahwaush, MN, Ruth Stech of Naytahwaush, MN, Roberta Oppegard of Naytahwaush, MN and Lyda Cannon (Pete) of Waubun, MN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Following all Covid-19 safety protocols, social distancing will be practiced, and all must wear a mask to participate.
