She was predeceased by: her parents, Steven James and Ione Louise Ortley Sr. (Bassett); her son Sam "Bud" Ortley; her grandsons, Tyler Townsend, Lucio Davila, Christopher and Dion Ortley; her great grandchild Mia Ortley; and her siblings, Louise Westbrook, Leona Ortley, Florence Eischens, Steven, Frank, David, Charles, Thomas and William Ortley.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Navarro (Arturo) of Fargo, Lisa Ortley of Minneapolis, Stephanie Ortley of Minneapolis, Andrea Ortley of Minneapolis, James Ortley of Brooklyn Center, Theresa Ortley of Minneapolis, Margaret Townsend of Fargo and John Townsend Jr. of Fargo; and her siblings, Charlotte Elias (Frank) of Houston, Roberta Ortley of Minneapolis, Joanne Ortley of Cass Lake, Minnesota, Pauline Danforth, Naomi Jones and Kenneth Basswood. She is also survived by 43 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
