It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sena Knowles of Mahnomen, Minnesota, who passed away on April 17, 2022, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Santjer and Katie Santjer (Konken); her husband Lawrence Knowles; her son Robert Knowles; her daughter-in-law Sheryl Knowles; her grandson Lance Santjer; and her siblings, Hilko, John, Sophie Sweep (Henry), Frieda Koolstra (Miner), Benny, Fredrick and Jenny.
She is survived by: her children, Jim Santjer (Joyce) of Littleton, CO, Lloyd Knowles of Detroit Lakes, Paul Knowles (Betty) of Mahnomen and Sandra Hershberger (Roy) of Bemidji, MN; her grandchildren, Doug Santjer (Kaprie), Stacey Hammett (Ken), Tiffany Fletcher (J. J.), Brittany Knowles, Melissa Guenther (Derek), Nicole McCarthick, Joshua Knowles (Julie), Ashley Hershberger and Sarah Hershberger; her great grandchildren, Kylie, Carter, Tallin, Andrew, Katie, Brayden, Christian, Alexander, Molly, Cocoa, Kaber, Nova, Ashia, Nicholas, Anthony, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Logan, Liam, Mackenzie, Benjamin and Sena; her great great grandchildren, Destiny and Faith; and her brother-in-law Ralph Knowles. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
