Melvin Haider Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin Haider of Mahnomen, Minnesota, who passed away on November 9, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Haider and Rose Haider (Schoenborn); his wife Lillian Voit; his sons-in-law, Iver, Dahl, Art Schaaf and Felix Rode; his sister Sally Neisen (Matt); and his brothers-in-law, Leroy Sanden, Gerald Becker and Elmer Remmick.
He is survived by: his children, Jim Haider (Bonita) of Perham, MN, Steve Haider (Kathy) of Mahnomen, Marion Schaaf of Billings, MT, JoAnn Paulson (David Rongstad) of Shevlin, MN and Rosemary Haider of Eagan, MN; his siblings, Dennis Haider (Corrine) of Waubun, Valerie Becker of Milwaukee, WI, Delores Remmick of Milwaukee and Corrina Sanden of Osakis, MN; and his sister-in-law Bernice Voit. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two step grandchildren; two step great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (120 W Jefferson Ave, Mahnomen, MN 56557). A prayer was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
