He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin J. Buckanaga and Bernice Buckanaga (Clark); his siblings, Wanda Blaine, Patrick Buckanaga Sr., Roxanne Flammond, Renee Gripp and Poncho Rock; and his nephew Travis Buckanaga.
He is survived by: his sons, Melvin "Bucky" Boyd and Jerome Boyd; his siblings, Michael Buckanaga (Patti V.), Diane Buckanaga and Evelyn Buckanaga; and his close friend Celeste Neeland. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
