He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Thompson and Elvira Thompson (Paulsrud); his grandchildren, Alicia and Gabriel; his great grandchildren, Katie and Bethany; his sister Geraine Marquardt; and his siblings-in-law, Earl Jorgenson (Renee), Clara Erickson (Neil), John Jorgensen (Joyce), Marjorie Buth (Harold) and Parnell Jorgenson (Jean).
He is survived by: his wife Nora Jane of Mahnomen; his children, S. Diane Kochmann (Jim) of Mahnomen, Michael Thompson (Zetta) of Gonvick, MN and Frank Thompson (Jane) of Mahnomen; his grandchildren, Derek, Sarah, Hope, Kevin, Melissa and Elliot; his siblings, Bev Nokken of Moorhead, MN, Arlen Thompson of Othello, WA and Gene Thompson (Pat) of Halstad, MN; and his sisters-in-law, Dona Gilbertson of Eagen, MN and Esther Bohnsack of Fargo, ND. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church (222 N 1st St, Mahnomen, MN 56557). A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
