Bernice Bjerken Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernice Bjerken of Mahnomen, Minnesota, who passed away on September 2, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Olaf Nelson and Marie Nelson (Ulseth); her husband Gilbert Bjerken; her siblings, Norman, Floyd Nelson, Alma Backen (Joe), Myrtle Hanson (Melvin), Alice Harington (Dick) and Hazel Korlin (LeRoy); and her daughters-in-law, Geri Bjerken and Bonnie Bjerken.
She is survived by: her sons, Gerald of Coon Rapids, MN and Gene (Cindy) of Mahnomen; her sister Florence Quesnell of Blaine, MN; and her grandchildren, Jasen Boit, Christi Boit, Steven Bjerken (JoDee), Susan Theissen (Ross) and Kristen LeClair. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
