Sam Skoien Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sam Skoien of Madison, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 13, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Sam may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his father Shawn Polman. He is survived by: his children, Michael Skoien (Mary) of North Wales, PA, Sue Malecek (Richard) of Elk River, MN, Cathy Wieme (Alvin) of Sartell, MN, Tom Skoien of Apple Valley, MN and Patrick Skoien of Madison. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
A prayer will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 7:00 AM at the Zahrbock Funeral Home Chapel (108 2nd Ave, Madison, MN 56256). Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (412 3rd St, Madison, MN 56256). A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
