She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolph Donecker and Florence Donecker (McColl). She is survived by: her former husband Ralph Kauwell; her friends, Leola "Lee" Frame and Ed; her close friends, Julie and Claire; her children, John of Lakeside, CA and Charla Gonzales of San Diego, CA; her grandchildren, Candy Qualters, Anthony Gonzales and Alisa Virgin; and her great grandchildren, Tanaya Graves and Alejandro Virgin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Phyllis' name to the Alzheimer's Association.
