He is survived by: his wife Ethel Johnson; his children, Mark of Fort Collins, CO, Paul (Jennifer) of Prescott, WI., Ruth and Eric; his grandchildren, Yi Yan Shelstad of Fort Collins, CO, Brittany Shelstad of Eau Claire, WI, Andrew, Dominick, Marissa, Jerusalem Shelstad of Prescott, WI and Oscar Shelstad of Vicenza, Italy; his sisters, Shirley Kupsky (Carl) of St. Cloud, MN and Helen Wegner (Dennis) of Shawano, WI.; his sister-in-law Marie; his nephews, Kevin Wegner (Connie) of Pulaski, WI., Douglas (Christine) of Shawano, WI. and Karlton Kupsky (Stacy) of Maple Grove, MN.; his aunt Myra Lien; his sisters-in-law, Marilyn Carlson (John) of Merrifield, MN., Nancy Johnson (Owen) of Pine River, MN and Jo Ann Roth (Dan) of Mantorville, MN.; his nieces and nephews, Heidi Sttevig (Craig) of Sauk Rapids, MN, Terri Foster (Pat), Kari Takahashi (Paul), Lea Roth (Nastassja), Nathan (Rebekah), Micah (Rebekah) and Owen Johnson (Christine); his brother Edwin; his grandsons, Samuel and Zachary Shelstad; and his sisters-in-law, Sharon Hauger and LuAnn Johnson.
