He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Welberg and Laura Welberg (Haugen); his wife Lois; his daughter-in-law Jody Welberg; his brother-in-law Gary Rau; and his granddaughter Allison Welberg.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Welberg of Milbank, Lisa Hinders (Buddy) of Milbank, SD, Craig Welberg (Shelley) of Milbank, SD, Brian Welberg of Marvin and Vicky Welberg of Fargo, ND; and his sisters, Virgina Schoon of Beardsley, Virginia Schoon (LeRoy), Barbara Kenney (Al) of Westminster, CO and Linda Rau of Ola. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 9:30 AM. A prayer was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Zahrbock Funeral Home Chapel (108 2nd Ave, Madison, MN 56256). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Zoar Lutheran Church (45701 167th St, Revillo, SD 57259).
