He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Buer and Susan Buer (Hampel); his wife Jeane Anderson; his daughter Susan; his brothers, Eldred Buer (Mae) and Kenneth Buer (Vollie); his foster sister Geneva Hanson (Bill); his sons-in-law, John Schatzlein and Mike Vig; his granddaughter Angela Wiese; and his great grandchild Shay Buer.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Buer (Margaret) of Australia, Helen Schatzlein of Bloomington, MN, Bob Buer (Dottie) of Fremont, NE, Paul Buer (Mona) of Madison, MN, Jeannine Vig of Circle Pines, MN, Tom Buer of Rapid City, SD, Claire Buer (Alesia) of Red Lion, PA, Kathy Rabe (Yogi), John Buer (Sandi) of Madison, MN and Maralee Wiese (Pat) of Canby, MN; and his brother-in-law Glen Anderson (Lorna) of Perham, MN. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, along with numerous other relatives.
