She was predeceased by: her parents, Gunder Johnson and Ethelyn Johnson (Powelson); her husband Marlowe Shelstad; her sisters, Sharon and LuAnn; and her grandsons, Samuel and Zachary.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Brittany, Andrew, Dominick, Oscar, Marissa, Yi Yan and Jerusalem; her children, Mark Shelstad of Fort Colins, CO, Paul Shelstad (Jennifer) of Prescott, WI, Ruth Shelstad of Portland, OR and Eric Shelstad (Wes Juezan) of Vicenza; and her sisters, Marilyn Carlson of Merrifield, MN, Nancy Johnson of Pine River, MN and JoAnn Roth of Mantorville, MN. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
