He was predeceased by: his wife Darlene Cecelia Stammen Purdy of Prescott, Arizona; his former wives, Geraldine Anne Martini of Connellsville, Pennsylvania and Helen Eileene Bothast of Union City; his granddaughter Kimberly Sue Dodd-McCord of Union City; and also Sheldon DuWayne Dodd of Union City, Indiana.
He is survived by: his brothers, Paul Eugene Dodd of Winchester and Charles Herbert Dodd of Owosso, Michigan; his sons, William Joseph Dodd of Dayton and Gerald Allen Dodd of Connellsville, Pennsylvania; and his stepgrandson Terry Ocaña. He is also survived by eight 8 grandchildren; thirteen 13 great-grandchildren.
