He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Schellberg and Minnie Ninneman Schellberg; his wife Gail; his son Dallas Schellberg; his siblings, Charles Schellberg (Harriet) and Linda Lee; and his brothers-in-law, David Beyer, Orville Kienholz and Earl Hiepler.

He is survived by: his son Craig Schellberg (Lori); his daughter-in-law Becky Schellberg; his son Douglas Schellberg (Amy Riemer); his grandsons, Grant Schellberg, Levi Schellberg (Kaylynn Rockensock), Kyle Schellberg and Casey Schellberg; his stepgrandchildren, Christian Dodds and Juliana Dodds; his great grandchild Jackson; his stepgreat-granddaughter Flora; his sister Geraldine Hiepler; and his siblings-in-law, Gladys Beyer and Art Lee. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to St. John's Lutheran Church Madison and the Hope Cancer Network.
