He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Nelson and Emma Nelson (Below); his wife Caroline Johanna Paulson; and his sisters, Smyrna Anderson and Ruth Pogel.
He is survived by: his children, Dean Nelson (Barbara) of Madison, WI, Shirley Berg of Waseca and Linda Huebl (Chuck) of Waseca; his stepchildren, Gary Thompson (Randi), Loren Fritz (Marlene) of Minneapolis and Julie Knauss; and also, Tom Casey of Rochester, Bob Klinger (Gloria) of Bemidji and Larry Thompson (Joanne) of Winnipeg, ON. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
