He is survived by: his wife Dianne; his children, Amber Smith (Alec), Brandon Sprenger and Tyler Schmitz (Courtney); his grandchildren, Tristan, Jameson, Scarlett, Aubrey, Brycen, Cameron, Ava, Keegan, Peyton, Avery, Rosalie and Everly; his niece Sondra; his nephew Travis; and his mother-in-law Edith Murilla.
