With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lorraine H. Childs of Madelia, Minnesota, born in Mankato, Minnesota, who passed away on June 9, 2022 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, August Leesch and Lillian Leesch (Gabriel); her husband Darrell Childs; her daughters, Judy Geistfeld and Lori Childs; her grandson Daniel; and her siblings, Harlan and Lavonne Mutch.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Hale (Tom) of Maplewood, Geri Strong of Cottage Grove, Dennis Childs of Mankato and Brian Childs (Joleen Blekestad) of Madelia; her son-in-law Ted Geistfeld of St. James; her sisters, Violet Klocek of Florida and Sonja Disher (Ed) of Owatonna; and her sister-in-law Rosemary Leesch of Minnesota Lake. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
