Larry Dean Schickling Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Dean Schickling of Madelia, Minnesota, who passed away on May 5, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Schickling and Berneda Schickling (Schulz); his fathers-in-law, Victor Vandrey and Ronald Evans; and his friends, Harold Davis, Ron Bocock and Henry Husk.

He is survived by: his grandchild Addy; his wife Phyllis Schickling (Vandrey) of Madelia; his daughters, Heather Russ (Michael Bliesmer) of Madelia, Rachel Schickling (Adam Roemer) of Madelia and Tiffany Schickling-Nichols (David Nichols, III) of New Ulm; his grandchildren, Sam Russ, Finn Bliesmer and Addison Nichols; and his siblings, Steve Schickling (Sherry), LaVonne Teigum (Doug) and Dave Schickling (Jackie). He is also survived by aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins; a community of friends.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021 from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm at the Madelia Golf Club in Madelia with COVID-19 requirements being followed.
