Kathryn Kay Gillespie Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 11, 2022, at the age of 83, Kathryn Kay Gillespie (Madelia, Minnesota) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Gronewold and Cora Gronewold (Halvorson); her husband Richard "Dick" Gillespie; her daughter Kara Marie; and her brothers, Clem of Lake Crystal and Phil of Lewisville.
She is survived by: her children, Tim Gillespie (Terri) and Amy Dougherty (Dan) of Virginia; and her brother Jerry of Lewisville.
She will be dearly missed by all, as many recall she and her husband, Dick, traveling in a snowstorm on Valentine's Day of 2021 to deliver cupcakes to those who had helped them during COVID.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Watonwan County Historical Society or the Madelia Library.
