She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Nelson and Palma Nelson (Stordahl); her husband Orville Wendland; and her siblings, Warren Nelson, Maynard Nelson and Grace Spence.
She is survived by: her daughter Barbara Pietsch (Leslie); her sisters, Helen Schwanke (Clete) and Norma Rydholm (Earl); her siblings-in-law, LaVonne Witt and Stan Spence; and her grandchildren, Leslie Pietsch Jr., Melissa Pietsch, Rachelle Friesen (Chris), Ron Pietsch and Miranda Jacques (Brent). She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service and visitation, abiding by COVID 19 guidelines, will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church-Madelia, on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at 2:00 pm with visitation one hour prior to the service.
