He is survived by: his wife Ann Broughten; his children, Debra Wendt (Roland) of Truman, Deann Schrimpf (Armin) of Oronoco, Kevin Arndt (Laura) of Sterling, NE and Heidi Johnson (Brent) of Vernon Center; his grandchildren, Allison Slabbert (Hannes), Andrea Wendt, Molly Miller (Brandon), Betsy Monson (Spencer), Bailey Swanson (Tayler), Lucus Beery (Misty), Amanda Henderson (Kyle), Lincoln Beery (Megan), Noël Herman (late David), Noah Arndt, Micah Arndt, Michaela Nichols (Josh), Malachi Arndt, Micaiah Arndt, Moriah Arndt, Seth Arndt, Anika Riewe (Aaron), Madison Johnson and Isaac Johnson; and his nieces, Gladys Cruz, Lorinda Krenz (Larry) and Dorinda England (Richard). He is also survived by 31 Great Grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family preferences for memorials are to St. Paul's School of Truman or Martin Luther High School of Northrop.
