He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Johnson and Clara Johnson (Plevka); his grandson Christian James Johnson; his daughter-in-law Connie Johnson (Olson); and his sister Marie McIntyre.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Johnson of Lyle; his sons, Larry Johnson (Tammy) of Hollandale, James "Jake" Johnson of Lyle and Martin "Marty" Johnson (Stacy) of Austin; his grandchildren, Travis Johnson (Diana) of Austin, Karlee Johnson of Lyle, Kayla Johnson of Lyle, Brittany Johnson of Hollandale and Mitchel Johnson of Austin; his great grandchild Areli Abrams; and his sisters, Lois Smith (Howard) of Ault, Bonita "Bonnie" Wright (Joe) of Evanston, Gloria Tyler (Tim) of Torrington and Jean Rohr (Jon) of Spartenburg. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorials are preferred to Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Lyle or Heartland Hospice.
