He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Skaggs and Doris Skaggs (Noon); his brother Jackie Skaggs; and his daughter Bethany Ann Skaggs. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Skaggs of Sioux Falls; his children, Diane McDaniel (Tim) of Marietta, Ashley Dupert (Jared) of Sioux Falls and Aaron Skaggs (Rachel) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his grandchildren, Brock McDaniel (Regan), Bo McDaniel, Brennan McDaniel, Riley Dupert, Peyton Dupert, Braylin Dupert, Charley Dupert, William Skaggs, Landon Skaggs and Eden Skaggs; and his siblings, Ann Freeman of Silver City, David Skaggs (Jeannie) of Macon and Susie Hutchins (Jeff) of Silver City.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Hartquist Funeral Home - Luverne Chapel (207 Elm St, Luverne, MN 56156). Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Living Rock Church (500 E Main St, Luverne, MN 56156). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A committal service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Maplewood Cemetery - Luverne (1242 W Warren St, Luverne, MN 56156).
