He is survived by: his children, Duane Schelhaas of Pipestone and Kay Thomas (Rick Heidelberger) of Sioux Falls, SD; his grandchildren, Darrick Thomas (Danielle), Zachary Thomas, Shania Schelhaas and Derrick Heidelberger; and his brother Jake Schelhaas (Gladys) of Jasper, Minnesota.
