He is survived by: his children, Kristi Franken (Bryon) of Luverne and Brian Laackmann (Joyce) of Worthington, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Carissa Spaar (Jason), Candace Laackmann (Bouy Moumy) and Easton Laackmann (Laura); his great grandchildren, Sawyer, Finn and Huckston Laackmann; his stepgrandchildren, Casie Johnson, Brett, Matt and Adam Pederson; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Mason, Cayden Nadolney and Janessa Kritzberger; his sisters, Lois Ulrickson of Viborg, Erna Christianson of Viborg and Shirley Hoyme (Garry) of Zumbrota, Minnesota; and his close friend Carol Grimaldo of Luverne.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hartquist Funeral Home - Luverne Chapel (207 Elm St, Luverne, MN 56156). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
