He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Kemerling; his children, Gary Petersen (Elizabeth) of North Mankato, MN, Bruce Petersen (Karen) of Brandon, SD, Mark Petersen of Luverne, Kevin Petersen (Marty) of St. Cloud, MN, Lyle Petersen of Luverne, Kate Thomas (John) of Tacoma, WA, Dan Petersen (Dawn) of Luverne, Ellie Oldre (Bryce) of Luverne and Brad Petersen (Amy) of Luverne; his sister Carol Drews (Jim) of Auburn, CA; and his sister-in-law Loretta Petersen of Luverne. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.
