As we bid adieu to Joan's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Joan has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Top and Jennie Top (Kuiper); and her husband Ed. She is survived by: her children, Edie Korthals of Rock Rapids, Rod Fransman (Frieda) of Luverne, Alan Fransman (Deb) of Hills and Harley Fransman (Jody) of Beaver Creek, Minnesota; and her brother-in-law Clarence Fransman (Dorothy). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the Hills United Reformed Church or the Hills Christian School.
