He was predeceased by: his father Stanley Benson. He is survived by: his mother Evelyn Benson of Ely; his siblings, Phillip Benson (Ruby) of Andover and Sandra Severson (David) of Westminster, Colorado; his nieces and nephews, Nanette Yurecko (Tim), Courtney Provido (Ben), Phillip Benson, Jr. and Brandon Severson; and his friend Oncologist.
