He was predeceased by: his mother Elaine Boomgaarden (Arp); and his brother Dale Boomgaarden. He is survived by: his father Alvin Boomgaarden of Luverne; his children, Jessica Knips (Brian) of Magnolia, Melissa Cowell (Billy) of Luverne, Tera Morgan (Chris) of Excelsior, Micah Boomgaarden (Dawn) of Delano, Josh Boomgaarden (Alisha) of Beaver Creek and Mariah Raabe (Ben) of St. James, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Jaden, Collin, Lucy, Tyson, Amira, Hannah, Emma, Harrison, Madeline, Calvin, Nolan, Lenox, Elouise and Wesley; his wife Debbie Walgrave; and his brothers, Wes Boomgaarden (LeAnn) of Columbus, Randy Boomgaarden (Joan) of Zumbrota and Jeff Boomgaarden of Credit River, Minnesota.
