He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Maanen and Margaret Van Maanen (Vrolyk); his wife Shirley Van Maanen; his brother-in-law Howard Petersen; and his nephew Harlen Petersen.
He is survived by: his daughter Andrea Kubesh (Dan) of Luverne; his grandchildren, Damian Reese of San Antonio, Zoey Matthiesen of Canton, Paige and Destiny Kubesh of Luverne; and his sister Gerardina "Carrie" Hazuka (George) of Lake Andes. He is also survived by niece; and other relatives.
