He was predeceased by: his parents, George Graphenteen and Adella Graphenteen (Lorenzen); his sisters, Maxine Kruger and Marvella Wilson; and his son-in-law Dennis Cauwels.
He is survived by: his wife Yuvonne of Luverne; his children, Coleen Cauwels of Cresco, IA, Laura Van Klei (Steve) of Champlin, MN and Steve Graphenteen (Mary Jo) of Luverne; his grandchildren, Teresa Reisdorfer (Doug) of Cannon Falls, MN, Beth Cauwels (Tom Norton) of Minneapolis, MN, Michael Van Klei (Lindsey) of Plymouth, MN, Christopher Van Klei (Peter Wampole) of Minneapolis, MN, Taylor Graphenteen (Vashti) of Sandpoint, ID and Anthony Graphenteen (Kristel Jandl) of Luverne; his great grandchildren, Madison, Kayla Van Klei, Derick Reisdorfer and Regan Graphenteen; and his brothers, Dale and David (Kim). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
